Haven Owners Forum

• To be able to upload your own photos you need to register. If you are a member of the Haven Owners Forum, I would ask you to use your forum username (you do not have to use the same password).
• Once your registration is complete you will be able to upload your photos .
• To prevent unsuitable pictures being displayed, your photos will not be displayed until they have been approved by ADMIN.

How to upload your photos

• When logged in select ' upload file'
• If first time upload it will be necessary to select ' Create/order my albums'
• select ' New Album'
• enter album name and select 'ok'
• select ' Upload File' again
• select your album from drop down list
• select 'Browse' to get photos from your computer
• select 'Continue'
• you can now enter titles, descriptions and keywords
• select ' Apply Changes'
• When your photos have been approved your album will appear on the home page
• You will then have full control over your photos.

It is YOUR responsibility to keep BACK UP copies of all photos posted on our Gallery.

Troubleshooting Guide

With the advance in digital camera technology and the ever increasing resolution size e.g. from 1Mp to 10Mp the amount of memory required by computers and servers to handle these files is increasing.

If you try to upload a photo(s) to our gallery and you get any type of error message that refers to ‘not enough memory’ (here is one example - Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 42467328)(tried to allocate 6168 bytes) in /content/HostingPlus/h/a/havenownersforum.co.uk/hofpics/include/picmgmt.inc.php on line 448), your photo’s memory usage will need to be reduced.

You can do this in one of two ways;

Easy - send copies of the photos to me and I will do it for you.

DIY -

•First, download PhotoFiltre and install it.

•Then open the photo file to edit.

•Look for the Image menu tab and click it.

•In the drop down menu, click Image size... or press Control +H.

•A new window will appear that shows the Width, Height and Resolution of the photo.

•Now, change the value in the Width box with to 800. The Height value will automatically follow according to ratio if the Preserve aspect ratio box is checked.

•Change the Resolution to the minimum which is 10. Click Ok.

•Save your work and close PhotoFiltre.

•The next time you click the Properties of the photo, you will notice a very big reduction on the memory size.

You should now be able to upload your photos with out any problems.
